a live-action film still of a real human female surveyor standing exactly in the center of an abandoned post-apocalyptic city street. her entire body is visible, about one third of the image height, with natural human proportions. she is about 30, with short black hair, natural eyebrows and a calm, alert face. a worn grey-green rain jacket over a rust-red inner collar, charcoal trousers, worn leather boots and a compact canvas backpack. she faces the camera at a slight three-quarter angle, arms relaxed, feet staggered and firmly grounded. her face is clearly visible, her clothing has natural weight and folds. camera 1.35 metres above the road, 40mm perspective. taller damaged concrete frames on the left, a lower colonnade on the right, distant buildings receding down the street. continuous floor slabs and columns surround large dark empty windows, with a few missing corners. a bright opening remains at the far end. three large fallen slabs lie along the curbs; the central passage is open. the grey asphalt road consists mainly of broad continuous worn surfaces, a few seams and shallow wheel tracks, sparse grass at its edges. sunlight enters through a gap behind her on the left. a narrow warm rim lights her hair and shoulder; soft sky light reveals her face. the foreground is deeper cool grey, the distant street brighter, with coherent long shadows. concrete, asphalt, canvas, skin and leather each have distinct natural surfaces. restrained localized wear, quiet distant detail, believable muted colors. an empty, silent city with a living person at its heart.
